I follow a few really great vendors, and associates in the photography world that have a passion to help others succeed. This is one of my associates that I enjoy learing and growing through...http://www.lightroompresets.com/.
I am entering into a contest they are hosting to share their ENTIRE store of Pretty Presets, and thought I would share it with you! I am always in seach for ways to give a better product to my clients, and also adding to my business the knowledge needed to succeed, and really have an impact on those around me.
My goals within 2012 are to mentor young, new photographers, which I am currently working with my first now.
To give of my time and talent, which has been part of my business since day one. This year I have given several sessions away, and December 2009, and this Christmas I will be participating in http://help-portrait.com/. Our role in WPB is with families of adopted and foster children that would not otherwise have the means to have a family photograph...We print their images right there that day, professionally touched up, and lots of love! It is all possible from donations and hours of planning, at no cost to the families!
I also plan to find other ways to impact my community, and give back in other ways.
I dream of having a full year starting with 2-4 clients per week...BIG Dreams!! :O) Through marketing myself within creative means, I hope to expand my territory and reach a larger base of families that come back each year.

I have been really stessing out over needing to write on my blog every week or even more at that matter, so I have been in hiding, only to realize the other day...I should at least attempt to write SOMETHING! lol
I have also noticed that it will probably mean I have to find a better blog outlet than the one I have, so that I can add pictures easier.
I sure have a lot of work to do...Why not get to it then, right!?
So I thought I would blog today about how cool it has been to grow over the course of my first year officially in business. I definatly am getting off the ground slower than I was hoping, but I definatly know I am on the right track. As most of you know, from either knowing me personally, or being friends on facebook, I have truely seen God at work in my like, and He has proven Himself time and time again thoughout my life, and my business. One of the ways I saw Him at work was by winning a HUGE giveaway from 56 different vendors equalling $4000.00!! I was able to obtain a beautiful assortment of newborn props, & helpful templates to enhance my business, and even an AMAZING mentoring session with my favorite photographer, Ande of CRAVE photography. There were so many other things too, including a camera bag, laptop bag, a new template for a website, and a credit to close to half the vendors to choose to my liking.
Another way I know I am where I am supposed to be is thru an image I recently took. I know there is a "scientific explaination" for Light flares...that's totally cool...I know the maker of science. So naturally He will use "natural things" to show us His glory. I took a picture of a tree, and the light was coming thru the top so beautifully. I looked in my LCD screen & saw the image on my camera, and thought it was pretty, but there was something additionally there that I did not know about until I was updating my website the other day & wanted to add some of my nature pictures to my "The Art of Nature" tab.

I was in total awe when I laid eyes on it!

Grand Giveaway! Not ONE, not TWO, BUT THREE Lucky entrants!

The third is a Couples Session. This session is for those love birds recently engaged ready to share in with all their friends and family in their special way. On location here in south florida, and surrounding areas where you met and fell in love, or your favorite place to go...We will capture your story thru the lens to share your romance! Session includes my time and talent, and a gallery with your edited images to choose from.
You will recieve an 11x14 print that can be upgraded for display at your wedding, and 50% off your booking for wedding photography packages. If you book me for your wedding, you will receive a full DVD of all your images!!
NOW....that's not all!! You are going to be telling all your friends to vote for you, and since your friends are going to be excitted and rallying for you, they deserve something too! SO, if your friends vote for you and are also interested in a shoot with me, they will receive an accordian album from their session, and 50% off all prints with their paid session!!! (other gift items available in exchange for the accordian album)
AS AN ADDED BONUS...The top 3 entrants from each session will receive 50% OFF their next paid session, and can begin earning bonus bucks for referals!! Every time you refer someone, and the book a full session with me, you receive a $20 print credit (unlimited earnings!) and they also receive a $20 print credit!!! I KNOW, Its CRAZY!!! RIGHT!!
